Using "Day One" App to Plan for That Book
There was a great post on TechCrunch yesterday about “Why Every Entrepreneur Should Self-Publish a Book.” I’ve never written a book but I’m guessing the inspiration for writing a book (in the entrepreneur space) comes from the desire to share your experience, the good and the bad in whatever it is that you’ve done over the years. Meet: Brooklyn Victory Garden
phinandphebes: Today we met with a new store who will be carrying our ice cream. The store is called Brooklyn Victory Garden. Located in Clinton Hill, they are a neighborhood destination for meats, gifts, cheeses and other food goods (like ice cream!) that are ethically and sustainably sourced. You can check them out at: http://brooklynvictorygarden.com and you can follow them on Twitter here:...

UX Post: Resources for UI Patterns →
uxpost: When designing features & functionality for elements like forms, carousels/slideshows, navigation, etc…, the first step I take is to research best practices and look at existing UI patterns to draw inspiration. Yummy Phin & Phebes Icecream
craftcoffee: This Friday, the Craft Coffee twitter alerted us that there was VIETNAMESE ICED COFFEE icecream to be had in the office.  Needless to say, we were on it! Phin & Phebes icecream checks all the boxes; small batch, local, and delicous… AND they are readily available in our fave Brooklyn lunchspot, Marlow & Daughters. What’s not to love?

Instagram Filters as Photoshop Actions
Found these great Photoshop filters that mimic Instagram. I took this photo with my Nexus One, which arguably has terrible camera quality. As a non iPhone user, I’ve been drooling over Instagram for awhile, which made me do a search to see if this existed.

– Give Your Employees Unlimited Vacation Days Some look at business management techniques like this and think they are pipe dreams or flat out silly. I disagree: I think it’s a shift in our culture and a necessary one. Just as sales commissions train salespeople to focus on the wrong results, so do...
